February Newsletter

New ways to get involved: investing, health advice & campaigns

From owning a stake in MenoVida to signing petitions that close in March…

Can you believe February is almost over already? With only 28 days in the month, it's flown by, and we've been heads-down getting ready for a really exciting next chapter.

But before we get into all of that, thank you, as always, for being part of this community. It means the world to us.

Join Our Mission by Investing in MenoVida

Taking the time to sign up for our newsletter was your first step, and we're so glad you did. Now, we'd love to share something even bigger with you.

Have you ever thought about investing in a start-up?

Like many early-stage companies, we'll be seeking Angel Investors to help us take MenoVida from prototype to a Minimum Lovable Product (MLP). But community is at the heart of everything we do, so we're also working hard to make investing more accessible to more women.

Here's something that might surprise you: in the UK, only 14.1% of investors are women. We want to help change that by offering the opportunity to invest smaller amounts and own a real stake in MenoVida.

If this sounds like something you'd like to know more about, simply “send us an email” to register your interest, and we'll add you to the waitlist.

We’re on a mission to help close the gap between the NHS promise of care and the care that so many women actually receive. We need to put an end to the stories of “you’re too young”, “it’s your age”, “it’s normal” and “it’s just stress”. And we’d love you to join us. 🧡

Getting to Know Our Ambassadors

Our Ambassador Programme has grown to 22 incredible women and we're delighted to welcome our newest members: Ali, Lily and Louise. You can read all about them on our website, where they've shared what they bring to our mission, why it matters to them, and their advice for others.

Here's our little taste of Ambassador wisdom this month:

What I Bring - "I'm a therapist who pivoted to specialising in perimenopause and have been helping thousands of women manage anxiety, brain fog, hot flushes, and a variety of mental health-based symptoms, since experiencing a hideously unprepared perimenopause journey myself."Jo Jones, The Perimenopause Mind/Medicine Woman

Why This Matters to Me - "Women share some of their most personal, sensitive data in digital services — from health and well-being to finances and identity. I've seen firsthand what happens when that data isn't adequately protected. Security isn't a 'nice to have'; it's fundamental to dignity, safety, and choice."Emma Lindley MBE, Digital Identity Expert

What Drives Me - "Hearing my friends' experiences and navigating my own drives me to push for better research, support, and dignity for women."Corina Hawkins, Talent Acquisition Expert

My Advice - "Share what's happening with you — others will open up too, helping you understand what's normal and where to find support."Laura Philips, Digital Transformation Leader

Who to Trust When It Comes to Your Health

With so much health information online, it can be overwhelming. We've all fallen down the Google rabbit hole at some point. That's why we wanted to highlight a few brilliant medical professionals who are using social media to share trusted, evidence-based knowledge.

A quick gem from Dr Nighat: Did you know you can ask for pain relief when having an IUD/coil fitted? Definitely worth knowing! Find out more here

Campaigns We're Supporting — Please Sign and Share!

Here are three campaigns that need your voice right now. Each one takes just a few seconds to sign.

Campaign 1 — UK: Tampon Regulation (Deadline: 18th March)

Did you know that sausages, candles, car air fresheners, condoms, cigarettes, and sponges are all more regulated than tampons? By taking just 30 seconds, you could help change 95 years of unregulated period care.

Campaign 3 — Australia: Access to MHT/HRT

This petition calls on the Australian Government, the Federal Department of Health, and pharmaceutical companies to work together to guarantee the supply of MHT/HRT medications and to expand the range of products available so that all women have access to the options that are right for them.
