We’re almost ready to share the MenoVida app

The moment we’ve been working towards is almost here. In the next few weeks, our community will be invited to start using the first version of the MenoVida app. It’s a symptom tracker with a doctor report, built to help you record what you’re experiencing during perimenopause and beyond, and explain it clearly to your doctor.

Community members get first access, ahead of our public launch. Over the coming weeks, we’ll share sneak peeks of the app and more about what’s coming.

MenoVida has always been about community. So many members have shared their experiences with us to help shape it, and we want to keep building something that works for real life and every menopause experience. Our first app users will give feedback that helps us improve the app before we open it up to everyone.

Want to be part of it? Join the community!

We can’t wait for you to see it.

Best wishes,
Jo & the MenoVida Team 🌸

WOMEN'S HEALTH NEWS

TAKE THE SURGICAL MENOPAUSE SURVEY

SURGE Menopause CIC, founded by our ambassador Kate Dyson, has just launched the first UK-wide survey on surgical menopause care, in collaboration with the Surgical Menopause UK Support Group.

Many women go into menopause overnight after both ovaries are removed, and too many say they weren’t given enough information or support. The survey covers everything from preparing for surgery to HRT and life afterwards. It takes around 8 to 10 minutes and doesn’t ask for your name.

If you’ve had both ovaries removed, please take part. If you haven’t, please pass it on to someone who might have.

FREE STRENGTH PROGRAMME : JOIN CHRISTINE’S PILOT

Our health advisor Christine Duffy is researching how to make exercise and strength training easier to fit into everyday life, focusing on bone and muscle strength in midlife.

As part of her PhD, Christine has worked with a group of Black African and Caribbean women in the UK and Australia, who shared the challenges they face fitting exercise into their routines. Together they co-designed a combined walking and strength programme, which is now ready for pilot testing.

By joining the initial pilot, participants will get a free 12-week programme and regular check-ins to help stay on track.

It doesn’t matter where you are in your strength journey. Everyone has their own starting point and personal goals. To find out more about eligibility, watch Christine’s video (VIDEO LINK) | Express your interest in the pilot

HELP PETITION FOR A WOMEN’S HEALTH AWARENESS WEEK

England has plenty of strong women’s health campaigns, but no single national week to bring them together.

Her Health Digest is campaigning to change that, through a UK Parliament petition created by Stephanie Shroot. And we’re keen to offer our support.

A shared week could give existing campaigns, and conditions without one, a national platform to reach people who might otherwise miss important information.

It could also bring the NHS, charities, researchers, workplaces and schools together to challenge stigma and talk about every condition and life stage, not just periods or menopause.

Sign the petition here.

Jo Mavridis

As the Founder of MenoVida, Jo brings over 20 years of tech marketing experience, most recently in Cyber Security and Digital Identity, and a lifelong personal battle with hormonal health to build the FemTech solution she wishes had existed decades ago.

Her background in sectors where trust, privacy and complex data are non-negotiable has shaped MenoVida from the ground up. When her own journey through PMS, IVF, a hysterectomy and debilitating perimenopausal symptoms left her without the tools she needed, she set out to build them.

Jo is now channelling her expertise, lived experience and voice into advocating for change in women's health. MenoVida is a vehicle for that change, built to create a future where no woman has to fight to be believed.
